Frequently asked questions
What is a digital asset?
A digital asset, also called a cryptoasset, is a digital good that exists on a blockchain network and can be transferred over the internet between people. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT are some examples. In Colombia, digital assets are not money or legal tender: they are intangible goods. Their value constantly changes with the market and may rise or fall significantly.
Do I need cryptoasset knowledge to use Orbichain?
No. Orbichain is designed so you can start from scratch, and our Academy explains the essentials in clear language. That said: every decision about your assets is yours, so we recommend understanding each operation before confirming it.
Can I send assets to other people?
Yes. You can send digital assets to another Orbichain user using their OrbiTag, or to any external wallet on the networks we support. Keep in mind transfers are irreversible: always verify the address before confirming.
Can I take out my assets whenever I want?
Yes. You can send them to the external wallet you prefer at any time, paying only the network fee. You can also convert them to pesos through the authorized provider available in the app.
What is asset exchange?
It is swapping one digital asset for another — for example, USDT for Bitcoin. Before you confirm, we show the exact amount you will receive and the cost of the operation. Once you confirm, the exchange is final.
